There has been a wellspring of visceral contempt for those who express even a meager concern for protecting the environment by those who seem to have an agenda engraved upon its destruction. Looking over some of the distraction such as culprits that spring from wetlands, one is hard pressed to think of any greater danger to our planet than the works from the likes of “Walter Williams” and the poison that flows from the pen of Cal Thomas.

Walter Williams laments over the gloom and doom of Earth Day with some of its more dire forecast involving climate changes (among other things)…

Really, since the “Earth Day” warning was published in Psychic News Network (4/22/08) perhaps a 150 thousand people (or more) have perished from earthquakes, storms, and volcanic eruptions that have a direct link to climate change. This IS not the loony fringe or attack of the killer tomatoes… (Though not as listed as diatribe from a more genteel flower power era). These are the cumulative consciences of hard cold facts come to roost concerning the implications of climate change as backed by 95% of the scientific community that currently resides upon this small planet. If this is not gloomy enough for you Walter my friend, stay tuned you’ve not seen nothing yet. Volcanic activity reports a sharp increase from around the world… as also major increase in earthquake frequency, magnitude and intensity.

Cal Thomas is giving John McCain some politically risky advice on the issue of what he calls the (But if you would like to address the issue properly and armed with some honest facts, please do click on) “Climate Cult”… The only problem with all Cults is that they can only exist in the state of denial and control… Which is, by the way, the state most favored (aside from the obvious Police State we have all had to endure since 9/11) by this ship of state that seems hell bent on driving this nation and planet over the edge with their misguided rockets and sugar plum dreams of world domination and global conquest… A ship of fools that hardly seems worth the trouble of saving. Problem is we’re all in this same sad boat at the moment and the only rescue ship available will be the one we build ourselves.

Muddled puddles puzzle scientist…

Virtually impossible” for liquid water to exist without boiling away in the planet’s thin atmosphere.But it turns out the claim is impossible for an entirely different – and much more basic – reason: the terrain in question is on the side of a crater, and is therefore sloped too greatly for water to pool into puddles.

There are those who question the science of recent data from Mars… What with a discussion that has moved from first finding traces of water vapor to the present discussion of exactly how many square miles would the Martian Ocean cover were the ice formation benith the surface to suddenly melt!!!???… Is a bit of a quantum leap in our understanding of our closest “hospitable” planet (Only Venus is closer but far too hot to support life as we know it). That is one reason to understand the science of what has happened on Mars is reflected and important to our current understanding of climate change. The old models were wrong this is but one example. Some in the vested industry of our present economy may think this is some kind of over reaction, it is only because they have not caught up with the science or simple refuse to see the evidence of a clear and present danger. The consequences of miscalculation are nothing short of catastrophic. It already appears to be a dire situation for the Polar Bear but at least one small cub appears healthy in The Berlin Zoo CBS Reports.

‘Up to half’ of Mars may have ice

By Neil Bowdler BBC News Scientists in the US say that initial data from a new way of scanning Mars has shown up to half of the Red Planet’s surface may contain ice.

The new method of scanning for water offers vastly more accurate readings than before, they say.

Must take a trip to a new place in space… Sure anyone could figure out a way to live on Tahiti ya think??? How about something more in line with current events. How about a Survivor Alaska Episode… Great idea! Talk about your real life drama. Maybe they could share a piece of sea ice that has broken off the rapidly diminishing Artic ice shelf and perhaps match wits with a Polar Bear… My money is on the Bear.

Just to give you some of your an idea of a location outside of the Artic Circle… How about a New Island just minted off the coast of Greenland… Check it out.

Stephen Hawking world renowned physicist says “Survival of the human race depends on its ability to find new homes elsewhere in the universe.” unless we learn to protect the beautiful planet we live on now what good will it do to move, where will we go ? It makes me wonder did we live on Mars at one time? At the rate we are destroying the one we live on now it won’t be long before it looks like Mars…lifeless or are least life as we know it.I think we need to pull our heads out of the sand and take a long look around us, take better care of what we have, even our poles are melting, the polar bear is even in danger of becoming extinct in the very near future. I don’t know about you but that scares me, I don’t have a space ship in my garage and if I did where would I go?

Buzz on the Bees Hooray For Hollywood! by Psychic News Network’s Lucky7Star When confronted with the choice as to whether would give up their cell phone if it would save the Bee population… It’s a no brainier, most I’m sure would in a heartbeat if it might help…

Much of what has been made up to the moment on what has touted to be the end of civlization, as we know it, has been marketly removed from the science of it all. The ranks of astrologers is filled with more hard science than the controversy of the bees at the heart of it matter… For the moment it appears as more Hollywood hoop-la than anything else. Antidotally I can say that I’ve witnessed the onset of what appears to be “maybe” some kind of virus that I suspect is responsible for the for the sudden destruction of the pollinator bee. As I made an observation of very odd bee behavior (That of a Honey Bee landing in my dogs water bowl). I retrieved the bee from the water and thought I was doing the right thing by drying its wings allowing it to fly away. The next day a considerable number of the Bumble bees lay dead and dying, some still crawling around my doorway. Still they have not totally vanished but its difficult to ascribe this epidemic to wireless phone service. It is altogether disconcerting and points to a desperate need for better science.

The virus is a prime suspect because of how swiftly it appears to have jumped to a different but related species. Something is going on… A wireless solution would be of some comfort because we would only have push a button to turn off the radio and save the world… Simple. If it is a virus then it all of a sudden becomes much more complex because in the entire course of human history we have never defeated a virus… And we never will if this devolution of science continues. Because of “sensitive images” Those in the Bush Administration may need to restrict satellite images. Hooray For Hollywood!

Some readers many may wonder what in the world a metaphysical site should be doing blogging footbal l… Not that anyone might have noticed that the trophy was a Crystal Ball. Well its odd but you have to just follow your passion and so maybe we might look for the ghost of “Bear Bryant” or maybe just leave the Bear to enjoy his game. Speaking of which I’m sad to report that the college football season is over but we have basketball and so I want to make sure everyone on Doctor Buzzard feels they have a place to enjoy. I do want to leave anyone feeling left out.

Now the site is looking better than ever… I know it does not have the flash like some of the other sites (some of my friends have added pod casting to their site). I know many of you may recall how the site was up and down in the beginning. Every time I would add something new or special like a new theme, it would open up cracks that could be exploited or hacked so I just decided to stick with the kiss rule for the meantime. The site has good volume and those who want to join are welcome there but there ARE security precautions that I’ve got to employ to make site available to everyone each member is screened to avoid problems. Simply follow the instructions to be included on site. I know MingDynasty had a bit of a problem as did Babb’s Spirit Realm … I’m sure everything will come out in the wash.

Now New Years is over 12 days of Christmas have had their day… The BCS Crowing of the National Championship, is a terrible a time for the x-mas Blues. I know there must be one more game left. I’m thinking what about the Boise State Broncos? I know they were in the BCS but they were also undefeated. If we had a Play off game it might shut some people up… Of course we would have to extend through March but they would leave plenty of time for Spring camp. I’m not saying we do football year round (you have to give the guys time off to rest… Yeah, like those 51 days did Ohio State any good:) Any suggestions or comments, just let me hear from you. In celebration in the rebirth of the Sun (Or as Christians know as “The birth of the Son”). apple wassailing, the medieval winter festival custom of blessing the apple trees with songs, dances, decorations and a drink of cider to ensure their fertility… This too predates the Christian traditions that have found its way into our Christmas Carols Songs and dance.  Apple cider is to ensure fertility but the wassail is also now incorporated into our  tradition as a warm cup of Christmas Cheer.

 

The placement of Hanukkah is tied to both the lunar and solar calendars. It begins on the 25th of Kislev, three days before the new moon closest to the Winter Solstice. It commemorates an historic event — the Maccabees’ victory over the Greeks and the rededication of the temple at Jerusalem. But the form of this celebration, a Festival of Lights (with candles at the heart of the ritual), makes Hanukkah wonderfully compatible with other celebrations at this time of year. As a symbolic celebration of growing light and as a commemoration of spiritual rebirth, it also seems closely related to other observances. 

 

There has been a lot of flack the past few days over a Holiday lights out in West Hollywood by Ms. Mary Loomis-Shrier, which is seen by some (since Mary Loomis-Shrier is of the Jewish faith).  As some kind of defection in the "War on Christmas"… First of all there are many other things to be in war over besides Christmas (Remembering that "Peace on Earth Good will to man" thing here). Maybe this is a special time we should all just try and stay true to the reason for the season.  As it has come to use as a combination of many wonderful traditions… It is, I think most would agree, a most beautiful time for all.  I know of Hebrew families who feel like they are forced to keep their Christmas Tree in the basement for fear of offending their friends and family.  Wouldn’t it be great if everyone would just loosen their bullets a little and have a wonderful time in this most magic of all seasons of the year.

Talk about your sleaze on TV! Child molester writing the child protection laws in Congress (BTW One of the few bills that actually passed). With TV ads concerning corruption, thieves, 27/7 the like it was … “Only in America” but Halloween is over and so now everyone get their mask on and go back to business as normal. Time to return to the real world. The votes are in and counted and we all may wonder if we can do any worse??? I’m sure there are yet other countries on the horizon who demand to be conquered and pillaged and are crying out to have a democracy as abysmal and corrupt as ours.

Molly Ivins calls it an unbelievable trip through Wonderland, I think most are just glad that its over. I’m just sick and tired of having to worry with terrorist hiding under my bed, my phone tapped, email invaded, stripped searched, my property stolen, and having to deal getting stuck with a criminal record or getting locked up whenever one books a flight… Just blow me and get it over with. I’m thinking, perhaps I’m not the only one fed up with this crock of crap. Now feeling a bit better, where was I?

Oh yes indeed, this is the blog you’ve all been waiting for, time to get to work. Those who need a high index need to get in touch. If your website is not listed near or at the top of the first or second page its in some adjustment to your meta tags that you need to know and work on. Ok many of you have got your blogs and need to start with the process of the writing of it all. Just pick out a topic, that’s within the season… Now under categories you will want to add the subject of the topic. Halloween of course will be one and then you can add things (like for example) Ghost Stories, Party ideas, Night Life, Psychic, Tarot, and Astrology… Anything along those supernatural lines. Those of you who are new it will talk a little getting use to but, I think, you will surprise yourself on how fast you get up to speed. Now these are xml/rss2 blogs which means they stand on their own and are professional grade. You need to bear in mind that these will only be viewable by anyone with a computer and Internet connection on the planet earth so it may be a good idea to run your spellchecker before publishing your work.

Secondly make sure your links are correct and take people to the places that you want them to see also this will provide you with your trackbacks so make sure that you include your own site in whatever subject you chose to write on. Like I always like to include Doctor Buzzard’s Tasteless Tonic and Medicine Show! Since it is also my main portal for submitting news stories I also like to include The Psychic News Network link because it is what I consider my main blog but then I also link to have Lucky7Star because its what I consider my personal name blog… Some might even want to include their Google Blogger Lucky7Star’s Psychic Stars because Google and Yahoo strangely enough do not index or ping very well. I think this is because in part due to their efforts to control the web in some manner… Who knows all I know is that I cannot get my Ping application Lucky7Star’s Technorati to work very well under either Yahoo or Google.

Now those of you who have not got your blog and button ready and need a little help getting started need to let me hear from you. The future belongs to the bloggers and vloggers… And oh yes , I almost forgot… The Future IS NOW.

Everyday there is more to keep up with but I think this should be great news for the readers on site. I know there are some who wish to just kickback and let Kasamba and Keen put out the advertising big bucks in exchange they get to share in the crumbs that might be left from the table. But there is another way which is to post and publish your own materials and do it together in such a fashion that you keep your own web page ads and button… Which for lack of a better word maybe we can just call sweat equality. Post feedback is something most of us do anyway. As a group not many in this group are shy about voicing their opinions… So just do what comes naturally all those in need of their own blog outside the control of the “forces that be” I’ll make sure that you get it among with your own Top level domain name and WebPages. As many of you can clearly see the hits have gone up rather dramatically and will continue. Now I’ve gone to some of the chat rooms just to see… Yahoo used to be the place but since they’ve closed the private rooms its nothing but a waste of time, IMHO. Time is better spent., I think in writing and linking blogs to those who are of the blogsphere of shared interest and then configure theme and index to search. This not only builds better community but advice and content apart from the montize mess that is in large part the wasteland of the internet driven by mindless ads and gimmicks to register hits to useless banner farms. I think this is the way to go and the future is yet to be determined.

As for those who are afraid to post and do reading outside the large portals it is understandable because quite frankly, some of my closest and dearest friends think that its quit insane to try and take on a multi-million dollar online banking and loan sharking operation… But when the members clearly see that they are nothing but a big fat tax write off and/or sheep to be fleeced then I confident that this opinion will change. I ‘m sure that as they try to buy up every key astrology portal in sight they will discover that the true power of the internet is not the amount and numbers to control (Let’s face it a domain name is nothing but a number) they can try to control all the numbers in the universe but in the end It’s the content of the numbers is what really count (I am speaking of “US”)… And in the end there are more of us then they are of them:) I know we will win end… It is not only written in the stars but upon all hearts who love freedom and detest and despise tyranny.

Things are coming along nicely with Doctor Buzzard’s Psycho-Rama in fact could not be happier with the site… Now that its been up longer than a week. Maybe some more video’s up next week. I know there are a lot of bells and whistles that could be added… Thinking maybe broken down into sections… Any publication could always use a sports section, and maybe an obituary just to see if I’m still above ground. Also a place and setting announcements. I think the comments are much easier to use than a forum, just not as extensive. Still you just open up a topic and post comments and blog away. I enjoyed the post on Lucky7Star.com concerning the Nujournalism. Speaking the Truth

In the near future there will be additions of both astrology and maybe a classified but for now I’m going with this format which Doctor Buzzard will provide site information and planned events. Ideas for modification and design. Don’t be bashful jump right in. Also there is a post on the Psychic News for the posting of reviews… These comments are important because they get into the search engines very fast so feel free to post away. Soon I’m thinking of opening up the forum to these lines of discussion because it too has its advantages.

It’s hard to have any sympathy for this battle of the well heeled and high sparks game of greed in their ravenous lust for the golden goose. I read something recently concerning Apple vs. Apple (almost like that Spy vs. Mad Magazine Spy) it’s a gig that’s sure to blow up in both their voracious faces (sooner or later). The fact that they’re both into death grips over this low hanging fruit goes right to the core of the matter. It’s not the protection of the artist so much as it is protection of the label and enforcement over the label’s contract that has been the woe too often of too many artist. For example I know of one of the top rising stars in opera that made a recording for the classical record label Naxos of Yiddish Theater, which is wildly popular, not just to the Jewish communities around the world but to all the aficionados who love this wonderfully entertaining and endearing musical art form. But to the point the label only covered the contractual expense of producing the record, which is now on back order and they (the label lords) are making a huge amount of money while the artist themselves have precious little more to show from their good and honest efforts beyond the publicity and a pat on back maybe the chance of doing another beautiful as well as technically complex art form for the amount of “well who knows”… (Maybe at some point time in the uncertain future for an undisclosed amount we might entertain the thoughts of raping your talents again sometime… Hey what a deal huh?) It’s a travesty that some many wonderful artist are left in such a shameful fashion, reminds me more of the boxing game than anything else. I read something that Skype was planning to markets a plan where the artists are paid directly for their efforts… even if its just 3 cents its still more than many are making now. Hard for one to feel any sympathy for these shameful recording label robber barons. DRM or DreaM still sounds like a load of C.R.A.P. for somebody’s rotten to the core golden apples.
